What is Earth System Modeling (EaSM)?
The Earth system encompasses the natural and human-living environment, which consists of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, lithosphere, and anthroposphere. EaSM refers to the modeling work that utilizes the state of science numerical modeling tools to simulate physical/dynamical/ chemical/biogeochemical processes and their interactions in the Earth system.
