Research Experience:
1. North Carolina State University, Air Quality Forecasting Lab, Graduate Research Assistant, AMS Fellowship Program. Main tasks include the conducting and evaluating MM5 simulations with different cloud microphysics schemes, in order to examine the influence of meteorological predictions of clouds and precipitation on CMAQ wet deposition simulations (supported by NSF).
2. State Climate Office of North Carolina, Meteorologist, Summer Research Program. Main tasks included radar/satellite image and data collection along with plotting model data, all of which were used to examine mesoscale circulation patterns and precipitation in the Sandhills Region of the Carolinas and Georgia.
3. North Carolina State University, Air Quality Forecasting Lab, Research Assistant, Summer Undergraduate Research Program. Main tasks included researching air quality monitoring projects and analyzing the data from these projects to be used to evaluate and improve air quality model predictions (supported by NSF).
4. North Carolina State University, Climate Modeling Lab, Research Assistant, Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU). Main tasks included the analysis of the RegCM2 model’s predicted precipitation amounts for Eastern Africa in relation to observed data and assessing the quality and value of climate model predictions (supported by NSF).
