Real-time air quality forecasting (AQF) has become a common practice in recent years for local and state air quality management agencies to inform the public the air pollution that may pose a risk to human health and received increasing attentions. There remain many challenges in real-time AQF such as the accuracy of the meteorological and chemical prediction, due largely to the uncertainties in model inputs and treatments as well as complexities in the deployment of the model for operational AQF.
