SUMMARY:MIE Seminar: Network Modeling of Fluid Flow through Membranes
DESCRIPTION:The Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Department is pleased to host a special seminar this Friday\, February 20\, 2026\, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM in 241 Richards Hall. \nSpeaker: Lou Kondic\, Distinguished Professor\, New Jersey Institute of Technology\nTitle: “Network Modeling of Fluid Flow through Membranes” \nAbstract (Short Summary):\nThis talk explores how fluid moves through porous materials using network-based models that simulate thousands of pore structures efficiently\, revealing how variations in pore geometry shape overall flow behavior. Professor Kondic will also highlight how topological data analysis (TDA) uncovers deeper structural factors influencing filtration and related physical systems.
