Busnaina Invited to Director's Forum on Nanotechnology in Beijing

MIE Professor Ahmed Busnaina, the Director of Northeastern’s NSF Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing, was invited by The National Center for Nano Science and Technology in China to be part of this year Directors' Forum for Nanotechnology in Beijing on August 28, 2017, at Beijing North Star Continental Grand Hotel in China.

The Directors’ Forum on Nanotechnology provides a platform for directors and eminent scientists from the world’s leading research centers or institutes for nano science to discuss their perspectives on the strategic development of Nano. In the past two meetings held in 2013 and 2015, respectively, dozens of distinguished participants joined us and passionately shared their visions about the key areas of nano science research and the future applications of nanotechnology.

The Forum is organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in partnership with Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Science Foundation of China, under the sponsorship of the National Steering Committee for Nanotechnology, China.

Busnaina’s trip to China includes his participation as a Keynote Speaker on the 7th International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology, China 2017 (China NANO 2017) held on August 29-31, 2017 also in Beijing, China.

China NANO 2017 is intended to stimulate discussions on the forefront of research in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The conference will focus on carbon nanomaterials, inorganic nanomaterials and MOFs, self-assembly and soft nanomaterials, Nano catalysis, Nano-composites and applications, energy nanotechnology, environmental nanoscience and nanotechnology, Nano photonics and plasmonics, 2D materials beyond graphene and Nano devices, Nano characterization, standards and metrology, modeling and simulation of nanostructures, Nano biotechnology and nanomedicine, nanotechnology for bio imaging and diagnostics, safety and health of nanomaterials, printing of nanomaterials and applications as well as optoelectronic nanomaterials and devices.

This is the seventh conference following the successful China NANO 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015, all held in Beijing.
