ChE Student Receives Outstanding Master’s Student Award in Leadership

Simran Pandey, PhD’29, chemical engineering, received a Northeastern University Outstanding Master’s Student Award in Leadership for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and mentoring the next generation of researchers. Her leadership in bridging computational and experimental research for gut health, mentoring high school students, and founding the Northeastern University Biophysics Student Chapter has left a lasting impact.
Pandey’s role in bridging computational and experimental research to develop an atomistic model for gut health has set a strong foundation for future scientific advancements. Her commitment to mentoring high school students through the Young Scholars Program, where she transformed complex scientific concepts into an engaging learning experience, has helped inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
