ECE Professor Miriam Leeser to Speak at WInnComm Conference in Virginia

ECE Professor Miriam Leeser will appear as a featured speaker at WInnComm ’16 in Reston, Virginia.

WInnComm (Wireless Innovation Forum Conference on Wireless Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1996 with the goal of “advocating for the innovative use of spectrum, and advancing radio technologies that support essential or critical communications worldwide,” as stated on their website.

Professor Leeser, head of the Reconfigurable and GPU Computing Laboratory, will present a talk titled "FPGAs in Software Defined Radio: Past, Present and Future" at one of the SDR Platforms Sessions on Thursday, March 17. Her research interests include using heterogeneous architectures for signal and image processing applications including wireless communications as well as implementing computer arithmetic and verifying critical applications.
