ECE Student Zhenyun Qian Wins Outstanding Paper Award At Transducers 2015 Conference

ECE PhD student Zhenyun Qian won an Outstanding Paper Award at Transducers 2015, the 18th International Conference on Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems, with his paper titled: "1.27 GHZ Graphene-Aluminum Nitride Nano Plate Resonant Infrared Detector".

The Transducers Conference, begun in Boston in 1981, is described as the "premiere forum for reporting the latest research, development, and commercialization results in microsensors, microactuators, MEMS and microsystems, and their applications in health related fields and medical devices, transportation, environment and space, energy harvesting, communications, and a broad variety of consumer products." This year's conference was held June 21-25 in Anchorage, Alaska.

Zhenyun Qian is a PhD student in the NS&NS lab of ECE Assistant Professor Matteo Rinaldi.
