Ganguly Selected as Co-Chair of SDWG

CEE Associate Professor Auroop Ganguly has been selected as a co-chair of the Societal Dimensions Working Group (SDWG) for the Community Earth System Model (CESM) by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR).

CESM is a fully-coupled, community, global climate model that provides state-of-the-art computer simulations of the Earth’s past, present, and future climate states. The Societal Dimensions Working Group (SDWG) seeks to improve understanding of the interactions between human and earth systems by enhancing NCAR’s Community Earth System Model (CESM) and its application through studies of climate change impacts, adaptation, and mitigation that use CESM output in their analyses.
