International Journal of Nanomedicine Achieves Highest Five Year Impact Factor Ever

Thomas Webster, Professor and Department Chair, Chemical Engineering and Art Zafiropoulo Chair in Engineering is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Nanomedicine and helped establish the journal in 2006.

The International Journal of Nanomedicine is a peer-reviewed medical journal covering research on the application of nanotechnology in diagnostics, therapeutics, and drug delivery systems throughout the biomedical field. The journal is published by Dove Medical Press.

Recently the journal announced its highest five year impact factor ever (5.034; last year impact factor: 4.320). The journal also established annual awards for scientists who publish in it, such as the Young Investigator Award and Distinguished Scientist Award.

“I am also happy to announce that this is our 10th year publishing IJN, by Dove Press. IJN has published close to 3000 manuscripts since 2006 and is a leader in open access publishing, which we pioneered, in which anyone, anywhere with an internet connection can download and read our papers for free. We also maintain an 18 day to first decision quick review time frame to get the latest in nanomedicine to the public quickly,” Prof. Webster remarks.

Prof. Webster further notes, “I would like to take this time to thank everyone on the editorial board for their hard work allowing us to achieve this milestone. We are one of the largest, and one of the first, publishers of nanomedicine research, and are clearly leading the field due to everyone's hard work.”
