Anjaneya Naik, MS’19, information systems, is putting his Northeastern experiential learning experiences and entrepreneurial spirit to good use. He recently co-founded TracFlo, a successful startup that has developed a cost management system for construction projects. Customers include JP Morgan Chase and LaGuardia Airport, which is run by The Port Authority.

TracFlo’s initial success is reflected in the support of top-tier investors, including Serena Ventures by Serena Williams and MAC Venture Capital.

TracFlo was also recently selected for the Google for Startups Accelerator Program, which provides training, mentoring, and access to experts, among other benefits, to promising startups. This is not only a personal milestone for Naik, but it also affirms TracFlo’s potential to transform the construction industry with innovative financial management solutions.

Naik’s professional journey was bolstered by his experiential learning experiences at Northeastern, which included mentorships, co-ops, and participation in student life. He learned essential skills, such as industry networking, under the guidance of Jessica Fisher, associate co-op coordinator and associate director for the multidisciplinary engineering master’s co-op programs. Hands-on learning under the guidance of Maricla Pirozzi Quartey, program director for the information systems-bridge and data architecture master’s degrees, helped him evolve from a UX designer at Ealai to product development leader at TracFlo.

He also actively participated in the Northeastern’s Entrepreneurs Club, which influenced his approach to business, product innovation, and team leadership.

As Naik reflects on the knowledge gained from his Northeastern days, he sees it as a cornerstone of his growth. From his first job at “TiffinBoxForSure,” a startup that revolutionized homemade food delivery, to his current role at TracFlo, Naik has demonstrated an ability to identify and address market needs. This is evident in TracFlo’s ability to streamline intricate processes like time and material ticketing and change orders, which delivers efficiencies and digitization to traditionally manual operations.
