Mahdiar Sadeghi: Student Paper Finalist in IEEE Antennas & Propagation Symposium

Mahdiar Sadeghi, who recently completed a Master's degree in ECE under the supervision of Prof. Carey Rappaport, is one of a dozen finalists in the 2018 IEEE Antennas & Propagation Symposium student Paper Competition. He will compete for the best student paper overall in July at the conference in Boston.  His paper: 'Virtual Source Model for Ray-Based Analysis of Focused Wave Scattering of a Penetrable Slab on PEC Ground Plane,' is based on his Master's thesis, which was supported by the Deptartment of Homeland Security's ALERT Center of Excellence.
