Metghalchi Selected as Honorary Fellow of International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability

Hameed Metghalchi

MIE Professor Hameed Metghalchi was selected as an Honorary Fellow of the International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability for the class of 2020, for pioneer research  and education in thermodynamics and combustion for the last four decades improving thermal system efficiency and effectiveness while reducing pollutant formation.

Dr. Metghalchi’s research focuses on the fundamentals of combustion, the development of chemistry reduction, and non-equilibrium thermodynamics. Previous honors he has earned from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers include the 2019 George Westinghouse Gold Medal, recognition with the Edward F. Obert Award in 2014, the James Harry Potter Gold Medal in 2011, and the Dedicated Service Award in 2011.
