Northeastern MBA/MSEM Students Win the 1st Northeast Supply Chain Online Competition

On April 21st, a team of three Northeastern graduate students from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business and the College of Engineering won the 1st Northeast Supply Chain Online Competition, which was organized by the Institute of Supply Management and the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and was sponsored by Parker-Chomerics.

The team, led by Avadhoot Belose, a Master of Business Administration graduate student, and including Jithin Skaria Jacob and Karan Mohan, both Master of Science in Engineering Management graduate students, competed with teams from other New England area colleges in the “Printing-House Opetations Game.” Avadhoot, Jithin, and Karan took part in an online simulation of one year period in which they managed the operations of their simulated printing-house and competed to have the highest available cash at the end of the game. The final score of the competition was extremely close, with Avadhoot, Jithin, and Karan taking first place and just edging out second place by tenths of a percent.

The three graduate students were honored on May 15th, and were presented with their awards and trophies at the ISM-Greater Boston Annual Meeting.
