Prof. and Chair Thomas Webster Delivers Invited Talk at 2nd Global Organ Banking Summit
The Summit on Organ Banking through Converging Technologies brought together leading scientists and engineers, as well as other key stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and the nonprofit sector, to address the challenge of banking organs and large tissue systems for transplantation, research, regenerative medicine, and other applications.
Thomas Webster, Professor and Department Chair, Chemical Engineering and Art Zafiropoulo Chair in Engineering, delivered an invited talk on August 6, 2017. Titled “Enhancing Stress Tolerance and Aiding Tissue Recovery”, Prof. Webster spoke about how nanotechnology is being used to improve organ preservation and recovery.
