Prof. and Chair Thomas Webster Wins International Association of Science and Technology for Development Biomedical Engineering Plenary Award

Thomas Webster, Professor and Department Chair, Chemical Engineering and Art Zafiropoulo Chair in Engineering, attended the 13th IASTED International Conference on Biomedical Engineering in Innsbruck, Austria in February.  At the conference, he was awarded the Plenary Award for his lab's contributions to commercializing nanomedicine. His plenary talk was titled “Two Decades of Commercializing Biomaterials: One Nano Step at a Time”.

The International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED) is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting social, economic, and technical advancements around the world. Established in 1977, IASTED organizes multidisciplinary conferences for academics and professionals in the fields of science, engineering, medicine, management, and education.
