Santillana Featured in Atlas of Inspiring Hispanic/Latinx Scientists

Mauricio Santillana

COS/ECE Professor Mauricio Santillana was added to the Atlas of Inspiring Hispanic/Latinx Scientists for his research interests in digital epidemiology, computational epidemiology, machine learning, and computational fluid dynamics. The Atlas is a grassroots effort hosted by the Fred Hutch Cancer Center to showcase the expertise, talents, and diversity of Hispanic and Latinx scientific faculty across the country. Santillana focuses on modeling geographic patterns of population growth and modeling fluid flow to inform coastal floods simulations and atmospheric global pollution transport models, as well as the design and implementation of disease outbreaks prediction platforms and mathematical solutions to healthcare.
