Sneyers Pont Selected as Presidential Global Fellow

Daniel Sneyers Pont, E’21, was selected as a 2019 Presidential Global Fellow, which is given on the basis of students’ academic standing, leadership qualities, and understanding of the importance of the global experience to their education, personal development, and career goals.

Daniel is a third-year Galante Engineering Business Fellow and University Scholar pursuing a BS/MS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. Born in Spain and raised in Brazil, he taught himself Italian before going on a Dialogue of Civilizations to Italy so that he could truly connect with the people and culture. In his first global co-op with Bain & Company in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he worked on strategy consulting projects with Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish clients in their native tongues. At his current co-op at Apple, Daniel interacts with colleagues and vendors worldwide. He is the founder and president of the Northeastern University Consulting Club, growing the group to almost 1,000 students. He spent a semester raising $40,000 in a bid to bring the largest Brazilian undergraduate student conference in the world to Northeastern. He will host the BRASA Summit at Northeastern in October.
