About

Selim Halacoglu earned his bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Çukurova University, Turkey, in 2013, followed by a master’s degree in the same field from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, in 2018. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisville in 2024, with a dissertation titled “Synthesis and Doping Effects in Highly Conductive Chalcogenide Solid Electrolytes.”

His research centers on the synthesis and advancement of solid-state electrolytes and all-solid-state batteries, with a focus on enhancing ionic conductivity, improving the stability of solid electrolytes with metal anodes, and extending cyclability for next-generation energy storage systems.
