Drew Ochengco uses “they/them” and “she/her” pronouns. Drew joined Northeastern University in August 2019 and currently serves as the NEU Silicon Valley Campus’ Assistant Cooperative Education Coordinator. Through this role, Drew supports students’ exploration of career interests, advises students through co-op internships, and develops professional relationships across the Silicon Valley area.

Born and raised in Southern California, Drew has gained a deep passion for increasing equitable access to STEM education across California schools. They have been a practicing K-12 and university educator and recently served as a makerspace assistant at Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Drew holds a Bachelor Degree in Biomolecular Engineering (University of California, Santa Cruz) and a Master’s Degree in Education focused in Technology, Innovation, and Education (Harvard Graduate School of Education). Drew’s past awards include being a fourth place programmer at the 2016 Hackster x Amazon x Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers Hackathon and gaining a golden ticket from Simon Cowell’s acclaimed singing show The X-Factor.
