Prof. Jerome F. Hajjar - Northeastern University: Jerome F. Hajjar is the CDM Smith Professor and University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northeastern University, where he served as Department Chair from 2010 to 2025. He was Professor and Narbey Khachaturian Faculty Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign between 2005 and 2010, where he served as Chair of the Structures Faculty. Between 1992 to 2005 he was Professor at the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota, he was a structural engineer and Associate with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in New York and Chicago. He received his BS from Yale University and his MS and Ph.D. from Cornell University. His research interests include computational analysis, experimental testing, structural stability, and design of steel and composite steel/concrete structures. He is also a registered professional engineer in Illinois and Minnesota.
