Policies, Planning & Workshop Fees:
- A full registration of one of the authors of each article is required for inclusion of author's contribution in the workshop.
- Each Workshop participant must be registered to the Workshop.
- Once the authors pay the registration fee, the organizers will maually activate their accounts in PaperPlaza so that they can login to PaperPlaza to submit their final manuscripts, following the guidelines of IFAC and transferring their copyrights to IFAC. Please allow the organizers at most 24 hours for this manual change.
- We have an exciting program under planning, including a welcome reception on the first day of the Workshop, and a banquet on the second day of the Workshop. These two events are ticketed events, which are included in the registration fees*. If you would like to bring a guest to either one of these events, we would like to ask you to purchase additional tickets for your guests. Additional tickets can be purchased from the registration link. Here, the guest is a person 18 years or older, accompanying the Workshop participant, but not attending the technical sessions.
- On campus lodging is available for Workshop participants. Please read carefully the room descriptions at http://www.coe.neu.edu/IFACTDS2012/Lodging.html and feel free to contact Prof. Rifat Sipahi for questions. If the participant wishes to stay on campus, the on campus room reservations (with full payment upfront) can be done from the registration link as well. Please arrange your on-campus lodging by June 15, 2012 for proper planning of lodging space on campus. Please note that due to university policies, we cannot accept guests younger than 18 years old for on campus lodging.
- Participants willing to take an off-campus lodging option are requested to make their own arrangements. There are many options in the area, some of which are also listed at http://www.coe.neu.edu/IFACTDS2012/Lodging.html
- For cancellations, the authors are requested to contact the organizers as soon as possible, preferably not later than May 21, 2012 as the Workshop organizers will have already committed to contracting of services. The organizers will however consider exceptional situations on a case by case basis.
- Depending on the agreements between a credit card holder and the credit card company, transaction fees may apply when using credit cards. The Workshop organizers therefore kindly ask the Workshop participants to be aware of these fees by contacting their credit card companies, and be prepared to cover those additional fees. Similar additional charges when wiring can incur, which the participants are kindly asked to cover.
