Carlos Alvarez Pereira, Vice President of the Club of Rome and co-editor of the 50th Anniversary reappraisal of the Club of Rome’s original warning about the environmental dangers of unlimited industrial growth—Limits and Beyond: 50 Years on from The Limits to Growth, what Did We Learn and What’s Next?—offers a comprehensive perspective on the original intention of “The Limits to Growth” report and the Club of Rome’s current initiatives for responding to growing environmental crisis. An interdisciplinary collaboration between NU’s Oakland campus and the Northeastern Humanities Center, this conversation is part of efforts to transform scientific and humanistic inquiry into social action.
