FYELIC Student Worker Wins Critical Thinking Award
Mechanical engineering student Caroline Vooss, a FYELIC Technical Operations Co-op and “Red Vest” student leader, has received the 2026 Undergraduate Student Employee of the Year award for Critical Thinking. This university-wide honor, announced during National Student Employment Week, recognizes student workers who demonstrate superior leadership and quality of work. Her supervisor, FYELIC Academic Operations Manager Matthew Burns, highlighted her contributions to the College of Engineering as pivotal to the success of the First Year Engineering program. Vooss will be officially honored at a virtual celebration hosted by the Office of Student Employment on April 17.
