Matthew Eckelman is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair for research of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northeastern University, with affiliate appointments in Public Policy and the Social Science and Environmental Health Research Institute. He is also an adjunct Associate Professor at the Yale School of Public Health. His research focuses on modeling emissions from industrial supply chains, including those of the health sector, and linking these emissions to human health damages and loss of ecosystem function. Dr. Eckelman worked previously for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs and in non-profit product engineering design and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal. He received a PhD from Yale Engineering.
