Culturally Responsive & Anti-Racist Teaching: Strategies for Inclusive Excellence

Join Dr. Ivonne M. García, Chief DEI Officer at the College of Wooster, for a seminar & workshop that will cover culturally responsive teaching strategies with respect to multilingual learners, and then delve into antiracism as defined by Ibram X. Kendi and the practices that we as educators can incorporate into our classes and our departments. Intensive breakout sessions will provide ample opportunity for participants to think deeply about incorporating antiracist strategies into courses and provide a platform for brainstorming how to engage our students in these conversations.

Although this workshop was designed with faculty in mind, staff are very welcomed to attend – this is going to be a highly interactive event with plenty of takeaways – and even some homework!
