MathWorks Day 2026: Making Renewables Resilient: Models, Methods, and Real-World Impact

Join us for MathWorks Day 2026, featuring a discussion panel, product demonstrations, and an interactive poster session.

MathWorks Day 2026 explores “Making Renewables Resilient: Models, Methods, and Real-World Impact” through a collaborative event between Northeastern University and MathWorks. The program features a panel discussion and Q&A session on the topic of renewable energy and the modern renewable grid. The panel will be led by speakers Dr. Bradley Lehman from Northeastern University’s College of Engineering and Dr. Graham Dudgeon, Senior Principal Product Manager for Electrical Technology at MathWorks, with panelists Dr. Luca Caracoglia from Northeastern University’s College of Engineering and Dr. Mehdi Vahab, Academic Manager for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at MathWorks.

After the panel, demonstrations by MathWorkers will showcase the breadth of MATLAB and Simulink applications across engineering domains, including:

• bioreactor modeling and optimization with AI-assisted development;
• digital twin technology for fault detection in electric aircraft propulsion systems;
• advanced control design using real bi-copter hardware; and
• autonomous underwater vehicle simulation built on Unreal Engine 5.3.

The event concludes with a poster session where participants can engage with current research and projects.
