The conference is grounded in the principles of the Neurodiversity Initiative led by Northeastern University College of Engineering and is proudly co-hosted with our regional coalition partners: the University of Rhode Island (URI), the University of Connecticut (UConn), and the University of New Hampshire (UNH). This in-person event serves as a foundational step toward the establishment of the “Northeastern Regional Higher Education Neurodiversity Coalition” (NEHENC). Through this coalition, higher education scholars, employer partners committed to neurodiverse inclusion, and workplace practitioners will come together to form a collaborative community. The goal is to share best practices and develop strategies that improve both educational and employment outcomes for neurodivergent individuals. The conference will begin with training sessions to deepen participants’ understanding of neurodiversity, followed by focused breakout sessions and discussions.
