ECC Technology Maintenance

The Engineering Computer Center (ECC) will be shutting down all services on Monday December 16, 2024 at 6:00 AM EST due to work being done on the cooling system in Dana Hall. Because no cooling will be available in ECC’s main server room (located in Dana), many critical infrastructure servers and services will need to be turned off during this maintenance. ECC will begin the process of restarting services on Friday December 20th, 2024 at 6:00 PM EST.  ECC will attempt to bring all services back online as soon as possible after the maintenance window concludes.

The services to be shut down include, but are not limited to, the COE VLAB, Gateway, COE E-Mail and Mailing Lists, and COE’s help ticketing system (help@coe.northeastern.edu). If you have servers in our Egan server room, they will remain untouched during this downtime.

ITS Ethernet and Wi-Fi will not be affected. As long as you are not accessing a COE ECC system, you will be able to continue working.

Before downtime, you will be able to contact us at help@coe.northeastern.edu.

During downtime, requests regarding COE technology must be sent to help@northeastern.edu and they will be routed to ECC personnel.

If you have time-sensitive work affected by the service disruptions, contact your supervisor or grant administrator as soon as possible.
