CEE Senior Leads NU Dance Company

Shannon Brown, Class of 2012, highlights the creative drive among the CEE students. Through her passion for dance, Shannon has been a member of the NU Dance Company (NUDANCO) since her freshman year and currently serves as its president. Shannon is a lead performer and choreographer for NUDANCO, most recently performing at their spring event,#HASHTAG, in April 2012. She is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, contemporary, and modern dance, and loves trying other styles. Shannon is also biking this summer from Providence, RI to San Francisco, CA with the program Bike & Build to raise money and awareness for affordable housing cause. The participants bike to locations across the country where they help to construct affordable housing. Within the department Shannon has served as President of the Institute of Transportation Engineers Student Chapter and the Vice President of the American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter. Congratulations to Shannon for her leadership in providing strong links between the creative arts and innovative engineering!
