ChE Faculty featured at 42nd Advanced Ceramics & Composites Conference

The 42nd International Conference and Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites which will be held January 21-26 in Daytona Beach, Florida will feature three faculty members from the Chemical Engineering Department as part of an Honorary Symposium on Advancing Frontiers of Ceramics for Sustainable Societal Development. The Symposium honors affiliated faculty member, Dr. Mrityunjay Singh, of the Ohio Aerospace Institute and past president of the American Ceramic Society. From the program, “It recognizes his long-term and outstanding contributions to science and technology of advanced ceramic materials and technologies, as well as his tireless efforts in mentoring students and young professionals, promoting and developing human network and collaborations among the materials community worldwide.”

Professor and Chair Thomas Webster will present on, “Green Biomaterials: Pioneering Environmentally-Safe Nanophase Materials for Tissue.” Professor Arthur Coury will present on, “Elements of Medical Product Translation: Importance of Ceramic Components.”
