Nicole Manton and Chris Bedi, BS, Chemical Engineering 2011 and 2010—students get hands on experience at Procter and Gamble.

During their co-op experience, their daily activities included being part of the Quality Assurance and Innovation Team. They worked with new soap formulations and created better ways to quantify razor blade quality. The products that they are working on now will most likely debut in the consumer market in 3-5 years.

Chris Bedi had his second co-op placement with P&G. His first co-op placement was as a Chemical Engineering Co-op with Shaw, Stone & Webster, a worldwide engineering contractor in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Nicole Manton was also on her second co-op placement with P&G. Her first co-op at P&G’s Portable Power Division in Needham, Massachusetts.
