ECE PhD Receives ACC 2025 Best Paper Finalist Award

Seyed Hamid Hosseini, PhD’26, electrical engineering, working under the supervision of Assistant Professor Mahdi Imani, received a Best Paper Finalist Award at the 2025 American Control Conference (ACC 2025) for his paper titled “Deep Reinforcement Learning for Intervention of Partially Observable Regulatory Networks.” His work was selected as one of the top six papers at the conference, held July 8–10, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Hamid presented the paper on July 8 during a special session dedicated to the Best Paper Finalist presentations. Hosseini’s research focuses on game theory, multi-agent systems, and mathematical modeling.
