MS Energy Systems student Diego Rojas Arancibia, MS'18, a Fulbright Scholar from Bolivia, has won the first Italian Innovation Engineering Internship Contest organized by the Italian company Piusi.
PIUSI provides professional, easy-to-use and top-performance solutions for transferring “dispensing” and measuring fuels, lubricants, and liquids. It is the world leader in fuel dispensing nozzles production and is present in more than 120 countries, having its headquarters in Italy.
This year they launched the First Internship Competition in Boston, looking for talents and innovative solutions. More than 100 students from 12 colleges from all over Massachusetts applied for the program and 7 were selected to work on an innovative project for 3 months, after which they will present their ideas to Piusi's board who came from Italy just for the event. In this final event, Diego won the first place, was awarded $3000 and an all-inclusive one-month internship in Italy after he finishes his studies at Northeastern.
