Two years ago, Associate Teaching Professor Daniel Dulaski approached the Town of Mansfield regarding a transportation improvement plan that was posted to the town’s web site that had several challenges. By converting it into a capstone project, they threw out the old concept and completely redesigned the area. The town vetted the Capstone design through citizens and boards and applied for a MassWorks (program to support public infrastructure improvements for economic development and jobs) grant last summer. Mansfield just received a MassWorks grant in the amount of $2.37M for the transportation improvement project conceived through the CEE NU Transportation Capstone program.
