Melodia Receives Excellence in Research and Creative Activity Award

ECE William Lincoln Smith Professor Tommaso Melodia received the Excellence in Research and Creative Activity Award, which is presented to a full-time faculty member to honor outstanding research and creative activity with global impact.

Melodia, who is the director of the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things, conducts innovative research spanning modeling, optimization, and experimental evaluation of wireless networked systems. His work focuses on performance optimization of 5G and 6G wireless technology through software and algorithmic control. Melodia, who has an h-index of 66 with over 25,000 citations, is creating an ecosystem for the next generation of wireless research.
