New Faculty Spotlight: Philip Larese-Casanova

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering welcomes Assistant Professor Philip Larese-Casanova, who joined the faculty in Fall 2010 after serving as a post-doctoral research associate at the Institute for Biospheric Studies at Yale University and the Center for Applied Geosciences at the Eberhard-Karls University Tuebingen in Germany. Prof. Larese-Casanova's research and teaching interests include developing innovative ways to measure water quality and treat water pollution, including improving characterization methods of metals pollution in groundwater and developing reactive materials for treating water pollution.
