Northeastern Co-op Wins Fall 2022 Scholarship From DN Tanks
DN Tanks, a company specializing in engineering concrete tanks for a wide variety of water, wastewater, fuel, and other infrastructure and industrial purposes, recently awarded the Fall 2022 scholarship for their semi-yearly awards program. The scholarships highlight co-ops or interns “who make unique contributions and exhibit DN Tanks’ Core Values.” This year, fourth-year civil engineering student Amelia Negrete was chosen as the winner.
Negrete is majoring in civil engineering, with a minor in mathematics. At DN Tanks, she was assigned to the company’s engineering department, where she worked on a portfolio of projects across the country. The company praised her work ethic and organization, which enabled her to play a key role in the overhaul of a shoring drawing package template. She fit in immediately at the office, where she became a regular at office outings and events. “Her organization and motivation have been key to her successfully managing a sizeable workload with increasing efficiency and quality,” said the company in a document released about the award.
