Northeastern ECE Students Compete at International Conference

Three ECE undergraduate students competed in the 2017 Student Cluster Competition at the International Supercomputing Conference in Frankfurt, Germany. The students, teaming with three students from Purdue University, came in second place in the Linpack challenge, setting a new American record.

Northeastern’s Spencer Hance, Zack Marcus and Carter McCardwell make up half of the NP-Complete Team. With a time of 34.99 TFlops, the NP-Complete Team set a new standard for Americans. The world record is 37.05 TFlops.
