Northeastern Engineering Students Win Second at Global Ocean Hackathon

Vancouver students Noel John, MS, data analytics engineering, and Yi Zhen, MS’25, information systems, were part of a five-person team that placed second at the 2025 Global Ocean Hackathon. After winning the regional round hosted by the Centre for Ocean Applied Sustainable Technologies (COAST), the pair traveled to Brest, France, for the Grand Finale.
