Prof. Dokmeci's Carbon Nanotube Work Recognized

Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Mehmet Dokmeci was presented with the Best Poster Award at the 8th IEEE Conference on Nanotechnology, an honor acknowledging promising research in experimental work involving carbon nanotubes. The paper was on "Integration of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes on to CMOS Circuitry for Sensing Applications".

Mehmet R. Dokmeci received his B.S. (with distinction) and M.S. degrees from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, all in Electrical Engineering. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Hermetic Glass-Silicon Micropackages and Feedthroughs for Neural Prostheses”. Following graduation, he has worked for a MEMS foundry for 4 years developing microelectromechanical systems based products for the telecommunications and life sciences industries.
