Prof. Landherr to deliver engineering education lectureship at UConn

Associate Teaching Professor Lucas Landherr of Chemical Engineering will be the inaugural speaker this Thursday of the G. Michael Howard Engineering Education Lectureship, to be held at the University of Connecticut.

Mike Howard had a 50+ year affiliation with the Chemical Engineering Department at UConn, and was a Ph.D. student, faculty member, acting department head, associate dean, and professor emeritus. With his passing in 2016, the School of Engineering and the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UConn have chosen to honor him by creating this lectureship focused on an area that he was incredibly passionate about – undergraduate education.

Prof. Lucas Landherr will be speaking on the use of STEM comics in engineering education, based on his current research and development of comics and animation for STEM.
