SWE Team Comes in 3rd in Collegiate SME "Subject Matter Experts" Competition

Mariah Dellea (ME’13) and Kerri Liss (IE’13), were part of a 5 person team that placed 3rd in Exxon Mobil Corporation’s Subject Matter Expert Bowl contest at the SWE National Conference.

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) Bowl is a competition that challenges collegiate members in the areas of science, math, physics, engineering, and technology, and also challenges them in their knowledge of SWE history and policies.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a nonprofit educational and service organization that helps women achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.
