About

Dr. Mamoun Abu-Samaha is a Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering with a distinguished career bridging higher education and global industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from International Technological University (ITU) in San Jose, a Master’s in Electronics from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan.

With over two decades of experience in academia and Fortune 100 technology firms, Dr. Abu-Samaha has served in executive roles including CTO at Motorola Mobility and Hewlett-Packard, and continues to lead innovation as Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Xpedite Solution LLC. He specializes in mobility, mobile security, embedded systems, game design, AI/ML/ DL (with a focus on AI/IA Security) and cybersecurity — with hands-on work in blockchain, ethical hacking, and educational systems.

As a professor, he has designed and delivered courses in:

He has led program development at institutions including California State University Sacramento, ITU, and Northeastern University, contributing to curriculum design, LMS/EMS architecture, and capstone supervision in AI, cybersecurity, and software engineering.

Born in Palestine and raised in Jordan, Dr. Samaha’s global journey spans Dubai, Eindhoven, and Silicon Valley. Outside of academia and technology, he was a proud member of the Jordanian National Volleyball Team and continues to play weekly in Santa Cruz, California.
