About
Karen Alonardo, Adjunct Professor & Strategic Business Leader – Karen is a visionary leader with over 25 years of expertise in technological innovation, sustainability, and business transformation. As founder and CEO of CSRware, Inc. (acquired by NAVEX in 2020), she pioneered Environmental Sustainability Compliance software, enabling global firms to manage risk and sustainability. Previously, Karen held leadership roles at Critical Path and Electronic Arts, contributing to their successful IPOs. She excels in strategic planning, enterprise growth, product innovation, advising C-suite leaders and startups on go-to-market strategies and operational excellence.
As an Adjunct Professor of Multidisciplinary Graduate Engineering (MGEN) at Northeastern University, Karen integrates her industry experience into teaching, mentoring students to apply academic theory to real-world challenges in business as it relates to AI and software application solutions. She holds a B.S. in Small Business and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University and an M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco.
Originally from Massachusetts, Karen now resides in Northern California, enjoying beach walks with her dog, nature exploration, and cheering for her favorite sports teams. Passionate about sustainability and mentorship, she welcomes collaboration on research and student projects.
