About
Kim Cortez comes to Northeastern University with experience in supported employment, academic, college and career advisement, workforce development and program development and coordination within various settings such as non-profit, private sector and higher education. Throughout her career she has worked with diverse, underrepresented populations in Boston, including first year/generation college students. Most recently, she worked at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as Program Coordinator for the Urology Residency Program. Previously, she worked as a Tutor at Bunker Hill Community College, and a Student Development Counselor at Brighton High School.

Kim holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from UMass, Boston.

Community of Support in the MSIS-Bridge Program
Prior to enrolling in the MS in information systems-bridge (MSIS-bridge) program, Bhavin Bhatia was working in India as an HR administrator in corporate functions. He always wanted to pursue his master’s degree and the field of computer science. He is now on co-op at Siemen’s working in software testing.
