About

Siddhartha Ghosh received a BS degree from Cornell University in 2007, an M.S.E. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011, and a PhD degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2015—all in electrical engineering. From 2015 to 2020 he was a member of the technical staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He joined Northeastern’s Electrical and Computer Engineering department in January 2021. His research interests include piezoelectric MEMS, acousto-optic and acousto-electric signal processing devices, oscillator-based computing, nanofabrication techniques and heterogeneous material integration. He has authored more than 20 journal and conference publications and is the co-inventor of two patents.

Ghosh Receives NSF CAREER Award To Design a Platform for Ultra-Compact Signal Processing

ECE Assistant Professor Siddhartha Ghosh received an NSF CAREER Award for “Semiconductor on Nitride PhoXonic Integrated Circuit (SONIC) Platform for Chip-Scale RF and Optical Signal Processing,” to develop novel microsystems that seamlessly integrate in one platform signal processing of multiple domains to advance RF communications and information processing, as well as quantum computing.

Ghosh Receives DARPA Young Faculty Award To Improve All-Acoustic RF Signal Processing

Siddhartha Ghosh, ECE assistant professor, has been awarded a $500,000 Young Faculty Award from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to create single-platform microsystems that can incorporate active functionality with passive acoustic wave (AW) devices at radio frequencies.

ECE PhD Student Awarded National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Research Fellowship

PhD student Jack Guida, electrical engineering, advised by Assistant Professor Siddharta Ghosh, was awarded a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Research Fellowship. He is researching microscale acoustics and integrated photonics as part of the Northeastern SMART research center.
