About

Fernando Augusto López Plascencia received his Bachelor’s Degree from CETYS Universidad, Mexicali campus, Mexico in 2001, graduating with honors. During his career he has worked as a CS Engineer specialized in web technologies, collaborating with organizations big and small, as well as being a successful self-entrepreneur. His skills include: business analysis, systems design, UI/UX, API design, and data visualizations at scale. Currently he is a Staff Software Engineer at Lyft specialized in frontend. López Plascencia has a passion for teaching and mentoring. He has previously taught at his alma mater and other institutions in Mexico, in topics such as OO programming, e-business, and web development. At Northeastern University he teaches the INFO 6150 class, which he recommends as part of the foundation of a successful software engineering career. López Plascencia finds great joy in sharing his expertise with his students in a practical way.
