About
Syed Farhan Mazhar Part Time Lecturer, College of Engineering in Toronto, Canada Biography: Syed Farhan Mazhar is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Master of Science in Information Systems program at Northeastern University. He has been associated with the service provision industry and academia for over 15 years and has held leadership positions in both IT and academia. He has a passion for teaching and has been a permanent and visiting faculty member at several reputed higher education institutes locally and internationally, where he taught a wide variety of subjects encompassing Computer Science education, Software Engineering, Database systems, Programming Languages and Project Management related courses. He holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and Intelligent System from University of Alberta, an M.Sc. in Electronics from Karachi University, and currently a PhD candidate in the field of Computer Science at McMaster University. He has completed several international certifications and training programs including PMP from PMI, Oracle Certified Professional from Oracle, ITIL Foundations, A + certified, Mini MBA Courses, and Advanced Teaching and Learning Certificates. Research: His recent research interests and focus are on managing IT projects, discrete-event systems (fault diagnosis and detection), formal verification of hardware and software, business process design, effective data analytics, data cleaning, and database systems.
