About

Hugh McManus, an Associate Teaching Professor at Northeastern University, as well as a Senior Special Projects Engineer at Metis Design and Adjunct Faculty Loyola Marymount University, develops, teaches and applies advanced methods in lean process improvement, systems engineering and preliminary design, and composite materials and structures. His current emphasis is on adapting lean methods to the needs of complex processes such as health care to lower costs, increase quality, and improve customer satisfaction.

Education

Dr. McManus received a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 1990, and S.B. and S.M. degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT in 1980 and 1981.
